The Muchnic Art Gallery is located in the 3-story Queen Anne Victorian-era mansion built by a local lumber merchant around 1885 and lived in by the Muchnic family, who later left the home to the community to be used for the arts. The first floor is exactly how the family left it, complete with family portraits, ornate furnishings, and stained glass windows. The second floor houses the Atchison Art Association gallery and provides space for art classes and events throughout the year.
